Have been searching around the forum for a mod that shows where there is new pictures added to albums in categories similar to the icons in phpbb showing that there is new topics in an album/category. Anyone seen something that works like this. The function should be based on individual basis and not date.

there's teh update history mod. That one you can modify to somehow fit your needs. Use user_lastvisit as reference and show all updates since that date
But if you want it graphically with icons next to cats, albums and thumbs... puh, lots to do
