Title: Registering?
Post by: Cyberpawz on February 28, 2006, 10:31:06 PM
After bridging, where do I register new people in? The fourm, or the Coppermine program?

Also when the bridging does work, when should the gallery button show up on the forum? And how do I get to the forum through Coppermine?

New users register via the forum, it becomes impossible to register via Coppermine. You are responsible for adding buttons.

Is there a "how to" on how to do it on this forum, or do I have to go searching through Phpbb2.com to find it? (which by happenstance is down right now for updating)

I'd like to know the answer to this please if possible, since I am new to this type of integration, and I don't see it in the manual at all... and so far doing a search on this forum doesn't provide the answer I'm looking for...

Thanks I hope.

BTW, here is the forum...

http://cyberpawz.com/phpbb2/

As you can see the coppermine board isn't working correctly, or at all...at least with this forum...

I've followed the registration step by step, this is a fresh install of the phpbb forum, and as far as I can tell there was no error with the bridging...

I'd appreciate some help, since I'm lost... and the searching through the forums aren't helping me at all.

I've already in a prior post attempting to request help, but no one has been willing to answer my questions, I'd really like to know why really.

As before this is my information...

Coppermine install: http://www.cyberpawz.com/Opp/
Forum install: http://www.cyberpawz.com/phpbb2/
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.2
Forum version: Phpbb 2.0.19
Test user account: test / test

Forum URL:   http://www.cyberpawz.com/phpbb2
Relative path to your BBS's config file:   ../phpbb2/
Use post-based groups?:   0
Cookie prefix:   phpbb2mysql

Either set your cookie domain as .domain.com in phpbb's config or use either http://www.domain.com or http://domain.com sitewide, not both.

What do you mean? Should the cookie be the same for both the PHPbb and copppermine gallery? Or are you talking about how the website it accessed through the DNS server?

How I do add the button for the gallery in phpbb, and the button for the forum in coppermine though? Also, how to do I allow the gallery button to appear with the user info? I thought the integration of the software would cause this to happen?

Ok, I'm stuck...

Coppermine shows up as a cookie domain as cyberpawz.com
Phpbb2 shows up as .cyberpawz.com

Inside both forms they show up as cyberpawz.com

Is there anything you can think of to get rid of this discrepancy?

That's fine. Nothing to solve there.

Ok, then what next then? I think I've done what you've asked... otherwise I'm stuck.

Right, but how do I set up the buttons so that both forum and coppermine work together flawlessly?
