Print Page - PHP and CPG 1.3 question

Title: PHP and CPG 1.3 question

I am trying to create a new skin for cpg 1.3, I have php in the template file (I changed the setting from .html to .php). When I view the template it will NOT show any of the php code. Is there a way to fix the problem TO view php code?
