Post by: jim8 on March 04, 2006, 10:05:20 PM
Hello,
Want a pain in the neck. Things were working perfectly for a week now and all of a sudden when I try to login to my gallery I get
the following error:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected '<' in /home/jim8/public_html/photogallery/include/debugger.inc.php on line 131 any ideas how to fix this.
thanks for your help into this matter

Re-upload the file.

Re-upload the file.

Hi Nibbler,
Thanks for your fast reply just to be sure I understand correctly when you mean reupload should I first delete the old debugger.php.inc and then upload the same file again or should I leave the old and then when upload it I can use the override?

If your FTP client worked properly, overwriting the old file is the same thing as deleting the old and replacing with new.

Your right. It seems to work again. I wonder what caused the problem?

Re-upload the file.

It works. What was the problem that caused this?

A parse error is when the file contains a coding error or is corrupted in some way. Line 131 is the last line of the file, so it seems like some junk was added on the end somehow by your server.
