I hope so.

except the method existing in admin tools, there's no such option, and there's little point in it, as the database keeps tracks of the filenames so the user doesn't have to. Has been asked before, please use the search (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?action=search).

Well, I'd have a pretty damn good use for it. It'd save me having to scroll through thousands of files and copying in the same info in edit mode. I'm talking about naming every title in 1 album the same thing. Not changing it to reflect the filename or whatever. And I do search and did search for this before I asked. But thanks for being so dismissive.

and there's really not a good search string for this problem anyway... ::)

So you are asking about giving titles/captions to pics in the gallery and not actually renaming files ?

There is no way to do this in Coppermine, but it could be done by a simple db query if you are familiar with phpmyadmin.

I'm not a good enough internetter to mess with much mysql. I guess I'll settle for the title naming to match the file names. It's not as aestheticly pleasing, but it's not rocket science.
