Title: Crop & Rotate
Post by: dartiss on March 28, 2006, 08:05:59 PM
Hi everyone,

I've just installed Coppermine 1.4. Never used Coppermine before, so a complete newbie to it all.

Never-the-less I got it installed fine.

However, when I try the crop & rotate function, on both Firefox and IE, I get a blank screen when I attempt a rotation. I'm aware of the issues with the crop function within 1.4. Is the blank screen what I should be expecting during the rotation?

Many thanks
David.

Just tried the various fixes that have been mentioned on the boards around picEditor.php

No joy.

All fine, until I select the option to rotate (in this case +90) and then click on preview or save. Big blank screen and nothing else.

Any ideas?

David.

yes: rotate your pics on your client before uploading and don't use the rotate option at all.

the server-sided restrictions are the same that apply to uploading, so if the server is yours to administer, take a look at the php.ini vars discussed in http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=24088.0 and change them accordingly. If you're not allowed to change them (usually the case when being webhosted), then do as I originally suggested.
