I have installed version 1.3 and tried to upgrade to 1.4.4. I need to uninstall the app. and reinstall it from scratch. How can I uninstall copermine. Is is as easy as deleteting the files?

Delete the files and drop all Coppermine tables from your MySQL database. Use a tool like phpMyAdmin to drop the tables.
