I just set up Coppermine, FTP loaded pictures to my website, set up categories and albums in Coppermine and used the Batch Add Files to put the pictures in the albums.
The pictures all showed up on the "list of new files" where you can designate which album you want them in. The thumbnails show up fine when you click on the album link, but once you are in the album and click on the thumbnail to see the picture, a page pops up with the error message posted below.
I am assuming once I get this fixed so that the full sized picture shows when the thumbnail is clicked on, my questions regarding how visitors make comments and how they view the slideshow will answer themselves. (If not I'll be back, one problem at a time for us non-techies :o)

you need to properly upgrade your theme. Upgrade coppermine to the latest stable (1.4.4) as well
