Title: running coppermine on computer
Post by: slicer1 on April 10, 2006, 11:32:53 AM
hi I have mysql and php on my computer.
I downloaded cpg1.4.4_for_pragmamx0.1_v1.4.4.1 but I don't understand how to install it.
I have a phpbb2 forum that I can run it on my computer before upload.
How can I run coppermine on my computer?

-first you need to create a database with your mysql
-then add a user with all permission to that database
-create a folder on your www root and unzip the gallery and execute install.php by your browser ( if you want gallery work on Root just unzip it on Root!)

It has this error

You seem to be trying to install the standalone Coppermine into your Nuke portal.
This version can only be used as standalone!
Some server setups might display this warning even though you don't have a nuke portal installed - if this is the case for you, continue with the install. If you are using a nuke portal, you might want to take a look into CpgNuke or use one of the (unsupported) coppermine ports - do not continue!

The PragmaMx port gets supported on the pragma forums, not on our page.
Self-hosting is not recommended at all.
