Title: Altering Hardwired Theme
Post by: CorporalStorm on April 14, 2006, 09:54:36 PM
Need some help.. Ive read the DOCS on the site and in the gallery file.. Still having some issues figuring it out..

Where is the coding for all the "basic layout" linked at.. I would like to take my gallery http://photos.corporalstorm.com and modify it. I like the general layout I have but the colors and images dont work for me. I'm having a hard time figuring it out. I tried to remove the background and make it solid black but that was to no use.. The background file is hardwired.gif and I looked for everything linked to it and removed it, still showed the background. I've checked the styles.css, theme.php and template.html. Which one holds the actual codes for all the coloring. Such as the category tables, photo tables...

Check out this post http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=24056.0 (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=24056.0). It's really useful and be sure to read the end of the post where GauGau links you to a couple of very useful tools for dissecting a webpages css styling. From these you can find out what styling is controlling the items you want to change.

Cheers,

Billy
