Hi I have Coppermine 1.3.3
I made a dumb mistake and add a an Apostrophe to the title of an album, like (Susan's ) and now I can't delete them, It happened before, you would think I would learn, but the first time I was able to delete the album. Now I get the error below. They are all CHMOD to 777. I use cuteFTP to up load my pictures. I even deleted the album from FTP, but I still can't remove them from Coppermine. I even tried to rename the album, but that didn't work either.
I appreciate any help you can give me.
QuoteDirectory 'albums/Scrapbooks/Susan's/' is not writable, files can't be deleted
Hi, this is an update, I found one file I couldn't CHMod to 777, and that's 'error_log' I tried it in my FTP, and in my cPanel..this is what I get when I tried it in my FTP...

Does anyone have any ideas?? :(
Recreate the folder, make it writable, delete it via coppermine
I did try to delete it from Coppermine first, and it wouldn't delete.
If I recreate the folder, I'll have to add the Apostrophe, and that's where I ran into the problem. But I'll try to do it again and see what happens, and will let you know.
Thanks Nibbler,
Lorraine
Well I tried, and just made a mess out of it. Now I have 5 albums I can't delete. I guess I'll just have to leave it, and hide them from view. :'(
Thanks anyway
Lorraine
This is a bug that existed in outdated versions. Upgrade at least to cpg1.3.5.
Sorry GauGau, I tried to post a few times, but it wouldn't go through. Not sure this will work either.
When I do an update, can I go over the top of my older version, or do I have to start all over again??
Thank you for your help.
Lorraine
An update goes over your current version. The upgrade instructions are in the docs.
Thanks for your reply TranzNDance.
I have been checking it out, and don't think I'll be able to do it, all the backing up you have to do, I would surely mess it up. I wouldn't even know where to start.
I guess I'll have to let it go. The only thing wrong with my version, is I can't delete these certain albums. I can hid the album, so no one can see them except me.
Thanks for trying to help, Coppermine is a great program, maybe one day I'll find someone who will help me upgrade.
