Title: moderator permission
Post by: feijo on May 22, 2006, 05:40:10 PM
I have the following issue with cpg and SMF:

Only an admin in coppermine can create/delete albums and catagories. Why isn't possible for moderators, just like in SMF, to create albums or catagories?

I'm not able to find the problem here, does anyone know a solution?

Coppermine doesn't have moderator permissions.

When bridging, your moderator group will be taken into account just as another group name. Coppermine doesn't have moderator capabilities, so the group members don't have special privileges.
Yes, we're aware that it'd be nice to have moderators in Coppermine as well. Has been discussed at length, is scheduled for the future, but currently not possible. There are some small hacks that add a wee bit of moderator powers to coppermine, but nothing nearly as powerful as the permission system in SMF.
