I have the following issue when trying to bridge Coppermine 1.4.6 and IPB 2.1.6:
I bridged CPG 1.4.6 with IPB 2.1.6 and now my forum admin account has no admin properties in CPG. Also, when I looged out of CPG/IPB and tried to visit my gallery's URL as a guest, I was redirected to my forum (you must be registered to view the gallery). I am able to log out and log back in to CPG using my root admin account, and I know how to disable bridging. My problem is that I need to enable bridging, but I think I need to have the post-based groups enabled in order to use my forum amdin account as an admin account in CPG, correct? Also, there were a few users already registered in my gallery when I bridged. I think I probably should have deleted them and anonymized their files before I bridged, right?
How can I fix this so that everything works the way it should? Thank you for your help.
Coppermine install: http://www.bootlegcoverart.com/gallery
Forum install: http://www.bootlegcoverart.com/forum
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.6
Forum version: IPB 2.1.6
Test user account: demo (username), test (password)
BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL: http://www.bootlegcoverart.com/forum
Relative path to your BBS's config file: ../forum/
Use post-based groups?: 0
If someone can help me fix this I'll send some money via PayPal or donate to Coppermine, whichever is preferred. I really have to get this fixed as soon as possible. :-\
Thanks
Can I try rebridging the gallery with the forum?
enable bridging if you need support.
It's enabled now, I just disabled it today because I needed to use the gallery :P I haven't been able to for three days. Thank you for your help
test user account doesn't work for me. I'm out of this thread, as I don't like begging to be allowed to support twice. Bye.
Sorry about that, I created the test account on the gallery, not the forum, and it doesn't work because the bridging is enabled.
How do I edit the bridging details? Just re-run the bridge? There's no information on that in the Coppermine documentation, it just says you can. I think if I edit the information to use post-based groups, everything will work fine.
