Title: Batch Add changes filenames
Post by: Chili on May 29, 2006, 07:56:47 PM
I've had my gallery running for close to a year now without issues.  I started shooting with 2 cameras this past week which results in me having to rename my files from the standard Canon IMG_xxxx.jpg.  I upload my photo's fine and have double checked it's not an issue with my host as all file names remain as uploaded.  When I use batch add files it is changing some of the filenames adding in _ in some spots etc.  I've never had this issue in the past.  My first attempt filenames were melita05.28.2006xxx.jpg, I figured these were too long so I shortened them to 052806_xxx.jpg and it is still happening, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure what caused the issue and I was never able to get it to work correctly.  I have since upgraded to 1.45 and all is well.

I'm using cpg 1.4.7 and the Batch Add renames all my files!
Example uploaded file name 2006.06.04-12.jpg will change to 2006_06_04-12.jpg.
Why is it happened?
Can I change this somewhere?

All dots except the last are replaced by an underscore for security reasons. Please try to post on the correct board when requesting support.

Sorry, I did a search for batch rename and didn't see that it was in the cpg 3 forum.

If you can't find an answer, re-phrase your search. Start a new thread on the proper board if you think your issue is new. Don't keep on replying to a thread if a supporter tells you you mustn't. Locking.
