Title: Help for customising eyeball theme
Post by: v8central on June 01, 2006, 04:25:58 PM
I help run the site : http://www.driftaustralia.com.au which is an ASP based site, but I want to use CPG for the gallery.

I have it almost running here : http://www.driftaustralia.com.au/pics using IFRAMEs to get the header and menu there, but I'm stuck on a few items ...

- how do I make the template go to 95% of page width ?
- how do I stop the CPG stuff overwriting the grey vertical border on the left (between the menu & the content) ?
- how do I reduce/eliminate the gap between the top ad area and the CPG menu ?

Any help appreciated,

Cheers  ;D

1) one issue per thread
2) using frames/iframes is not recommended, you just experience one of the drawbacks of frame technology and why it's not recommended
3) FAQ: I've posted my question a while ago, but nobody answers. What the...? (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/faq.htm#lamesupport)

Hi V8,

I took a quick look the other day and the only quick fix I came up with was to change your table widths to 85%. I did this my downloading your site and playing with the tables... man there are a lot of tables. Your theme breaks down in EI and you have header problems in FF with many of your pages showing layout issues.

I think you have an interesting site and it shows that you put a lot of time and effort into it. I'd recommend redoing it using <div> and css to create a more manageable site to help you out. Sorry I couldn't help out more but it would require a lot of time to ferret through the issues.

Good luck!
