PLUSS THIS THREAT BELONGS TO PERMISSIONS
If I visit your gallery and view an image, I have that image in my browser's cache. I can do whatever I want with it. You cannot stop people from saving your images. The best you can do is add a watermark to your images before uploading them.
If you don't want people to have your images, don't put them on the internet.
@awilson25: If you want to stop people from viewing the full-size photos, you can use the plugin "Full-Size Photos Access Control (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=25010.0)". That way, people can view the thumbnails and intermediate size photos, decide if they want to purchase the full-size photos. Something like that. If you want to only allow the thumbnail view, but not the intermediate view, there's a FAQ entry about that: How can I let unregistered users see the thumbnails only, but not the actual pictures? (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/faq.htm#viewThumbnailsOnly). Oh, and there's a FAQ entry for your original question too: How can I prevent users from saving (stealing) my pictures? (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/faq.htm#preventPictureStealing).
@Vargha: It's fine for this thread to be in "miscellaneous" - this is *not* a permissions issue since there are no permissions related to downloading images versus viewing images. The plugin I linked above along with the FAQ entry is the closest to such a permission. In any case, a dev team member will move the thread if it needs to be moved. You don't have to say it twice or yell the second time (using all CAPS).
@paver, sorry i didnt mean to yell, i just wanted it to stand out, i apologize ;)
