Post by: epsilon on January 23, 2004, 03:13:26 PM
I empty it, because it was 3.2MB size, and all in the gallery is the same, the votes are in the gallery. I would like to know what is the mission of the table, thank.

The mission of Cpg11d_votes, should it choose to accept it, is to maintain the integrity of Coppermine's voting system.  Should it fail in this mission, the Secretary of State will disavow all knowledge of its activities. This post will self destruct in 5 seconds . . .  :D

It tracks who voted for what, and it keeps them from voting twice on the same picture.  To keep DB overhead down, the total number of votes is stored in the picture table, so you can empty it without visually affecting CPG.  However, your users will now be able to vote on pictures again.
Title: Nice!
