Title: Synchronization with PC possible?
Post by: olliesshop on July 07, 2006, 03:37:07 PM
First of all I want to sincerely thank all the developers for Coppermine.  I've been using it for a couple years now on our Church website www.feelc.org and people love it  :)

Last week, though, I noticed another software tool that advertised automatic synchronization with a PC and wondered if Coppermine has something planned.  Currently I use the batch uploading, but it sure would be awesome if it automatically updated from albums on my PC.  I imagine this is a major upgrade to the software, but was hoping it might be added to the todo list (if it isn't already).

I'm sorry if this is a repeat of another post, but I couldn't find any reference to this in my searches.

Thanks again for all the good work !!!

Ollie

1) Your actual gallery URL is http://www.feelc.org/Coppermine/

2) You're running cpg1.4.x, so it's not a good idea to post on the cpg1.3.x support board. Moving accordingly.

3) You're running the outdated cpg1.4.2 - it's mandatory to upgrade to the most recent stable release (cpg1.4.8)

4) Syncing with your desktop PC would have to be done by an app that resides on your PC - this would make it platform-dependant. Such an app currently doesn't exist for coppermine. However, there are lots of apps that do an auto-sync on FTP level. Please post a link to the app that you refered to.
