I just downloaded Coppermine and all the requirements like MySQL and all that...but I don't know what to do next! Can someone PLEASE help me?
Read the documentation (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm) or view the starter tutorial (http://coppermine-gallery.net/tutorial/download.php). However, I'm not sure you understood everything right: coppermine is a web application that is suppossed to run on an already esxisting webserver. If you actually downloaded mySQL, then you probably have no idea what you actually need to do. Make sure that you have the minimum requirements (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/faq.htm#MinimumRequirements) already available.
Do you HAVE to use FTP? Because that's what it says in the tutorial.
Well, you don't have to use FTP if you already uploaded and unzipped the files to your server (which equals your client PC presumably) by using your file manager. You shouldn't be self-hosting, especially if you have so little idea how this is done. Don't expect to be spoon-fed by us in terms of running a webserver of your own. That's just not our mission. Our target audience is webhosted and has the webserver set up already.
oh ok. i was wondering what is the size limit for uploading pictures cpg?
there are two type size limits
- server size limit
- CPG size limit
you can set CPG limit first

We have a "one question per thread" that you agreed to respect when signing up. You already violated that policy by asking two things, which got answered. Your third question clearly shows that you haven't read the documentation as suggested. Coppermine doesn't have a limitation by file-size (although you can set up one), however the other components involved into the upload process (like the webserver) have one. Locking this thread now. Do as suggested and post actual questions on the proper boards after having read the docs and searched the board.
