Title: should i delete update.php / install.php after an upgrade?
Post by: Hercules24 on July 23, 2006, 09:56:00 PM
When I perform a versioncheck both files a called mandatory, but CPG itself advises to delete install.php after installation.
Whem somebody (anyboy on the web) tries to execute install.php he'll see a warning that the installation is locked and nothing more happens.
But you can also execute anyone's update.php on any coppermine on the web which will show things like: updating dbases etc.
Is there a way to avoid other people playing around with your copeprmine files and maybe doing harm to your gallery?
Thanks for teh advice.

Delete them if you wish.

Docs have been changed accordingly in svn already. It's not necessary to delete install.php, but it won't hurt neither to do so.
