Title: FTP MODE?
Post by: gemstar* on January 28, 2004, 01:42:07 AM
Can anyone help me? how do you:

The 'include' directory (located in the directory where you uploaded Coppermine) should be writable in order to save your configuration. Use your FTP program to change its mode to 777.

how do you make it writable!

Thanks!

Ask your webhost to do this for you.

coppermine support board is not the right place for such trivial questions, since this is one of the very basics of "putting stuff on websites" (I won't call this "webdesign" or use some other fancy buzz word). Maybe a search on google on the keywords "CHMOD tutorial (http://www.google.com/search?q=chmod+tutorial)" will help you.
Anyway, if you prefer not to know what you're doing, try right-clicking the folder you want to chmod in your ftp programm - in some of the most popular ftp programs, a context menu will pop up - choose "chmod" or "permission" and apply them accordingly.
