Title: How can Registered Users upload Pictures in MY Album?
Post by: Soni on July 31, 2006, 01:39:30 PM
Hi

Sorry for my bad english.(Swiss) I have the coppermine 1.4.8 Version installed. Everything works fine and its for my page the best albumsolution ;D

But now to my question:
If I create as an Admin an Album (NISSAN), how can I make a Subalbum(NISSAN 350Z) where other registered Users WITHOUT ADMINRIGHTS but with USERRIGHTS can upload their Pictures in this Subalbum(Nissan 350Z)?
I tried several ways. But the only one who can upload pictures in my created Albums is ME :-\

But for a proper solution on my page, I would need that the registered Public can ONLY upload Pictures in MY created Albums.

IS THERE A SOLUTION?

Thank you for your answers. And PLEASE, if there is a solution, write me your answers easy to understand. I AM A TOTAL NOOB. ;D

Kind regards
Soni

Thanks for your answers.

1) Albums can only contain files, but not sub-albums. You probably meant "category" (which can in turn hold sub-categories as well as albums, but not pics)
2) Non-Admin users can not create albums in public categories (categories the admin has set up). There's no workaround for that. Either create albums in public categories for your users in advance to upload to or allow users to have personal galleries (user galleries), where they can create albums at will.
