Hi, I am having problems installing the gallery. I have looked through the FAQ and searched the forums but have been unable to resolve my problem.
I have uploaded the coppermine gallery, I downloaded and I changed the album and include folders CHMOD to 777. I have a MYSQL database and am now trying to install my gallery using these instructions...
"Run the install script on your server (by going to http://your_server/coppermine_dir/install.php with your web browser) and follow the instructions "
Where 'your_server'= cutabovescrappin
and 'coppermine_dir'= the file located on my C drive.
What am I doing wrong and how can I install the program correctly?

Are you trying to run this locally on your own computer? Coppermine is a web application so it wouldn't run on your c drive unless you have set up a server on your computer. Here are the things you need beside mysql: http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#what
Thank you for your response, TranzNDance. I am trying to follow the instructions for installing onto my website. I open up my web browser, type in http://cutabovescrappin.com/???not sure what to put here and have tried several things/install.php and get error message 404 Not Found every time.
According to the instructions I am supposed to type 'coppermine_dir' (folder where I uploaded my
Coppermine files). I uploaded them to my desktop, extracted the files and then uploaded them to my ftp, just like the instructions indicate. I know I am doing something wrong but have read and re-read the instructions, documentation, tutorials, etc about 10 times and still can't figure it out. It is probably something very minor and stupid I am missing but this is all new to me.
Any help would be much appreciated.
P.S. I contacted my webhost and was told I have all the requirements to use Coppermine.

I re-uploaded the files to my ftp and typed the following into my web browser:

and got the following error message

The error shows that you have not uploaded all the files. Some of the files are missing. Reupload all the files and make sure nothing is left behind.
Make sure you have extracted the installation download. Sometimes people just double-click the archive file so the folder structure is lost and all you see are a bunch of files.
Also avoid using a mixture of cases in file/folder name.
