Title: Poor Photo Quality
Post by: COCOA on January 30, 2004, 01:18:29 AM
Hi
So far I love what I can do with Coppermine, except that some pictures uploaded such a poor quality, I can't add them on my album.
One example is here.
http://cocoa.littlestar.jp/ff/albumcpg/displayimage.php?&fullsize=1&picfile=userpics%2FKira+0+year+old%2F3month+old%2F020902-9.jpg
Is there anything I can do to fix?
I checked forum, but seems I couldn't find exact same problem I have.
 :(
Thank you [/b]

Requires password. Can't access.

What image lib are you using? GD? 1 or 2? ImageMagick?

Sorry about it. I forgot that I set the password.
I checked my webserver, and it showed that they use GD2.
So I set the configuration with GD 2, too.

Does the problem occur with all the thumbnails and intermediate pictures, or are only a few affected?
Title: Not all pictures

It does not affect all pictures.
So far it is about 15 of them.
I updated again, and transfer the file with FTP again to renew the image, but always the same pictures got damaged.
Some images does not show up either.
I don't know what else I can do, but is it common??
(Hopefully you can see the picture)

Is this one of the problem photos? (The you provided link goes to a registered users only gallery.)

The originals are also showing the same problem.  As coppermine doesn't change the original, it seems the originals arrived on the server corrupt.

Check the copies you are uploading are ok on your local drive.  If they are, check your ftp program is not in the wrong mode.

I checked the uploaded pictures on my webpage by FTP, and it was also corrupted.
Since the original picture on hard drive is ok, something may be wrong with FTP system.
I will work on it.
Thank you everybody.
If you have any more suggestion, please let me know!

I checked FTP, and used another software (I have used Homepage Builder FTP), and worked just fine. All pictures are shown, and none of them are corrupted!
Hope it works!
Thanks!
