Title: usermgr times out
Post by: EaglesPhoto on September 07, 2006, 04:24:54 AM
Hello,
I searched the above topic and found relative posts, however when I try to debug I recieve a 403 forbidden error
So I cannot get the exact code problem from debugging.
Are these two problems related or is the 403 error a host problem?
Can I fix the usermgr error without the having to fix the 403 error yet?

Any help is greatly appreciated. My user database is 33 users.
Thank you, Joshua

403 means forbidden - it's not a timeout. Yes, you should talk to your host about this issue, after having checked that there isn't some special hotlink protection script gone wild that might be the culprit. However, it's not related to coppermine as far as I can tell without seeing a link (which you should have posted; do so now).

 Hi GauGau,
Sorry I should've explained it a little better.
The timeout occurs when trying to access my usermgr.php
The 403 occurs when I try to debug to figure out why the timeout occurs.
Sorry about not posting a link my users are not viewable to the public
do you want me to pm you the link w/user and pass?

Just the link to your coppermine-driven gallery, posted publicly as a reply in this thread will be fine for a start, thank you.

   GauGau,
Problem seems to be solved. The webhost claims he had to add an ht.access file in my public_html folder.
That doesn't sound right to me. But I don't know jack, I just have a feeling there was something limiting the gallery
in the webhost settings. Thank you for your help, Joshua
