Title: not sure what to do....
Post by: THE London Mom on September 11, 2006, 07:12:25 PM
I finally found time to "bridge" my phpbb to cpg - I didn't get any error messages and it all seems to have worked okay when I used the bridge wizard.

I just don't know what to do now.....  When I try to log-in at the cpg, it directs me to the Forums. When I log in at the forums I'm still not logged-in at the cpg....  what have I done wrong??  I also thought that when it was "bridged", I'd find a button from the forums to go to the coppermine gallery... I don't see one anywhere....  ???
How do I get a button for my users to go to the coppermine gallery?

PS - since I can't login as admin, I can't make a test account  :-[

The test user account is being created in your BBS when bridged, not in coppermine, so you should be capable to create it and post it anyway. Do as suggested in "When requesting bridge support - mandatory! (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=24032.0)" ::)

Bridge Wizard: enable/disable BBS integration
Your bridge settings
Forum URL:  http://londonmoms.ca/phpBB2
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../phpBB2/
Use post-based groups?:  0
Cookie prefix:  londonmoms_forum
Enable integration/bridging with phpBB version 2.0.18 or better
enable  disable

Here's my bridging info from the Bridge Manager - I was able to go to the url that took me to this page.

You have to make the buttons yourself. Check our boards and the phpbb boards for info on how to add your own buttons. Bridging does not touch the forum. If you don't enable the bridge and provide a test user account then there is little we can do to help you.

Okay - test user = copper
pw  =  password

And I re-enabled the bridge manager.

You must set your cookie path to / in phpbb.

I just set up coppermine with phpbb 2.018 or better and i notice that it deleted all my previous member on my coppermine gallery. Is there a way to get them back? Their albums and such are still there but when you click on member list it just shows me. Do I have to contact them and tell them to register in the phpbb forum with the identical username and password?

P.S. the logging into the forum logs me into my gallery so that is working properly.

That is to be expected, users are lost when bridging. Don't ask new questions on old threads.
