Title: Regular users can't post to public galleries
Post by: Link on February 05, 2004, 02:47:31 AM
One of the biggest problems that's been happening on all the galleries on my server lately is this, where if a user registers and becomes a member, if they click upload they get an error saying there aren't any albums they can upload to.

The annoying part is that I created a ton of specific albums and categories, and there's no way to make them public? I now know that users can click into their own admin mode and create their own albums but for the average person that will NOT come naturally.

Am I missing something here? Input much appreciated. My gallery's at www.talesmud.com/gallery if you'd like to see for yourself :)

Have you assigned upload rights w/ or w/o admin approval to the registerd users in the "Groups" panel?

Have you used the properties button (in album list) to set the properties for each album to "Visitors can upload pictures -> Yes"?
