Title: config.inc and anycontent in upgrading?
Post by: ChiDao on September 13, 2006, 05:24:25 PM
Hi all.

I just updated to latest version and from instructions I get the idea that config.inc and anycontent should not be overwriten with new files? Well first I backup them to my deskptop and then overwrite everything in the server with new files (exept albums, of course). After that I overwrite those two files in server with my older versions. After installation I run version checker and it say that anycontent.php is version 1.3.2 and should be updated? So what is the correct way here, leave the old one or update to latest?

Now I'm not even sure about that config.inc file if its the old or new file (version checker say config.php is 1.4.9.) It seems to be chmod 644, is that normal? I tried to overwrite it with the old one that I had backed up, but it gets failed all the time.

Also I have old install.php there that says its version 1.3.2 and needs to be updated. In instructions it said that there is no need to transfer that to server. Is there use for that file now when Coppermine is already installed, so can that be deleted all together?

Anyway, so far the gallery seems to be working properly though...

Don't worry for anycontent.php , you can leave it in peace ;)
config.inc.php will create during installation so you can't find a new version of that file either , do not try overwrite it , it's normal
And finaly YES you can delete install.php
