I'm used to run a 3.X gallery integrated with my Phpbb 2 forum.
I recently switched to vBulletin, now I need to hook up my Gallery and restore my inegration.
Before the forum change, my gallery was installed in a folder /forum/gallery/
The path was: forum.domain.com/gallery/
I installed my new forum in the folder /board/
I created a new database for the new forum
I changed my DNS settings so that the subdomain forum now points to the folder "board" instead of old "forum" and the forum URL is now the same: forum.domain.com
I moved the gallery folder from "forum/gallery/" to "board/gallery"
Now I need to reinegrate the gallery with my new forum and upgrade it to the new version. The gallery database is a separate database (actually the same one as the old forum, but with different prefixes).
What are my steps? What should I do first? Anything I shoud know or be aware of? Help would be appreciated...
We haven't reached Coppermine 3.X yet.
Update and bridge following the instructions provided in the manual.
Sorry, that was 1.3.X of course ::)
So I just update the bridge and then upgrade the version?
Update and then bridge.
I've upgraded the gallery. That part seems to be fine (except for versioncheck of anycontent.php which was not supposed to be owerwritten and therefore is reported to be from an older version).
I can't get the integration working though. I run vBulletin 3.6.1. The inegration file is for version 3.0 I deinegrated the gallery from phpbb. It works stand alone, except it shows no member galleries. After using bridge manager for vBulletin 3, my user galleries appear, but they are all messed up. In the process of bridging the manager doesn't ask for the vBulletin db info or for coockie name and path. Any suggestions?
Since upgrading has worked fine, you have an entirely different issue bridging coppermine with your new BBS, so I suggest starting a new thread on the sub-board cpg1.4 (BBS) integration / bridging (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?board=50.0) after having read the sticky thread there.
Marking this thread as solved.
