Title: Error login the bridge manager
Post by: iraultza on October 02, 2006, 02:37:53 PM
First of all, sorry for my English, I'll try to explaine the problem ok. I have searched the forum and read the docs but I hadn't read any possible solution.

After that, Hi everyone  ;)
My problem is that I want to switch off the bridge with my phpBB2. This is what I do: I login with my admin account succesfull (this means that my username and pass are OK). I go to admin tools and click in the bridge manager. In the bridge manager, it tells me that I'm not log in with my admin account (what it's false), and it tells me to insert my admin username and pass for switch off the manager. I insert those... and... it tells me that username and/or pass are incorrect! so I can't switch off it.

I am very very very very very very very (a lot of very  ;) ) sure that I have introduced the correct username and pass, of the admin account (I am log in as admin when I click over the bridge manager.

I have read the rules, but I haven't attach any other data because the problem is with te admin account, and I'm not going to post my admin account :=)

My Coppermine version is 1.4.4. I don't think, but if you need other data tell me please and I'll post it here.

A lot of thanks. Hopefully you can help me.

Bye!

you need to use the username/ password you used when installing coppermine and not what you use now on your phpbb install.

Please upgrade asap to the latest version 1.4.9

Usually, reading the sticky thread (in this case labelled "When requesting bridge support - mandatory! (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=24032.0)") on a sub-board helps understanding what supporters need to know to be able to support you ::).

OK, thanks.

GauGau, I have read the sticky post of this subforum before post my problem, but I thought in this case the all data isn't necessary. If I have been wrong, please, sorry.

But I have another problem now, because I install cpg with the "installatron" of my hosting, and I don´t remember too well my user and pass, so I have to prove a few times. As I have try a few times before posting here, actually I can't try until 6000 seconds! And after, if I have wrong too, it will convert in 600000000000 seconds?? Can I quit the time restriction?

A lot of thanks, really.

EDITING: I forgot... Stramm... what is asap?

- As you can see the stick said MANDATORY it means that you must post it

- Do Not use Autoinstaller scripts they know to be buggy and outdated

- if you use Fantastico then it will send you an email with provided user/password after installation

- if you don't have that email , use phpmyadmin (I'm sure you have it under hosting control panel/ db tools) , go to your CPG DB and open your xxx_users table and find the user that has 1 for user_group column , this user is admin, write down the username and edit the password field and put this instead of old value 098f6bcd4621d373cade4e832627b4f6 in this way your admin password is test

and asap is: As Soon As Possible

Yeah!

I have solve the problem. When someone log in Coppermine and insert his username, the system (cpg) recognize the username whatever uppercase or lowercase the user introduce. In this case, the bridge manager only recognize username if it is writed with the letters correctly, and I didn't know it  ;)
