Dear All,
Have been trying to group my albums into categories.
While i managed to create the categories... I am unable to group them at all.
I followed the below help
How can I move albums from one category to another?
1) log in as admin
2) admin mode
3) create categories (using category manager from admin menu)
4) go to the index page of your gallery
5) click "Properties" next to the album thumbnail
6) From the dropdown list "Album category", choose the category the album should go to
7) Click "Update Album"
However, i dont have a dropdown list in my ALBUM Category. Sigh. Is there something wrong with the coding?

I'm not sure you can do that...
I think what you need to do is go to Albums in admin and create the albums from scratch.
Select a category and then click the "New" button to create a new album under that category.
Once you are done with the albums for that category, click "Apply Modifications".
Then you can move to the next category...
In fact there's a difference between albums in user galleries and albums in public categories. Why don't you post a link for a start?
