Title: edit files permissions for non-admins
Post by: ERockWeb on November 17, 2006, 09:47:27 PM
I've been searching these forums with the phrases "edit files", "permissions", "users" but have not found the answer. I apologize in advance if this has been answered somewhere else.

I have coppermine with the phpBB bridge. As the Administrator I am able to see and use the following options next to the albums: DELETE  PROPERTIES  EDIT FILES

One of our phpBB Moderators wants to be able to edit his own files after they're uploaded but he does not see the EDIT FILES options since he is not an administrator.

How can I set things up for him so that he can modify titles, descriptions etc? He just needs it for his own uploads but it is also ok if he has the permissions for all uploads.

Thanks.

The http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#admin_user_editpics_public_start documentation says:
QuoteWhen enabled, both the admin and the uploading user can edit and delete files that were uploaded to a public gallery. Of course the user must have permissions to upload to the public gallery in the first place (see the groups control panel) before this option will have any effect.
but I don't see how to do this given the way I have things setup with the bridge to phpBB.
