How can I acess to admin panel ????? when I try to enter admin.php... apear this "You don't have permission to access this page."
help me!!!. THNX from slovenia... :(
log in to coppermine using the username and password you specified when installing. If your browser is set up to accept the script's cookies, you'll see a button labelled "config". You can't just enter the config file's url manually (because the referrer is checked for security reasons).

This warning sometimes appears if your computer clock is wrong. Check and reset the clock , and try to logon again. Then look for the 'Admin mode' in the menu.
Where do I reset the clock ??? HoW ??????
your computer clock. In windows, is at the bottom right of the screen. Double click on it, and you can change it.

Have you set your browser to accept cookies.
Try deleting all your coppermine cookies, and try again.
Can you post a link, or a screenshot.

@djdolfonthemix. What version of IE are you using?
Try going to 'tools/internet options/privacy', and set to default. Depending on the version, there may be 'privacy', or 'security', or both. Set them both to default if you have them.
Im making that (IE) what you tell me, but its same....
maybe can I cancel or deformate some file in action script (for cookie) ??? maybe that work.... but which file... ??
Gosh! I'm having the same ugly problem!
And there's no answer in this Forums ... :-(
I just installed the Coppermine in my LocalHost, looks like everything is ok but can't login as admin (and I'm the only user of this machine!).
I use Mozilla FireFox 0.8.
Each time that I enter my user/password a page saying "Welcome MyName" appear and returns to the Index.php without Login, I mean, after the Welcome message there's no user Loged In.
It could be a problem with the tables in the database?
Cookies? I don't think so, I deleted all the cookies, close the browser and start again and the problem's still here.
How to know if my user/password is the admin of my installation?
PHPMyAdmin says that there's just one user: Me.
Well, I don't know how to solve this yet
Any idea?
Thanks in advance.
go to coppermine config and set the cookie name to something else. This way, any existing cookies on your hard drive will become obsolte. IE can be very "tricky" on this...
GauGau
Quotego to coppermine config and set the cookie name to something else
Sorry Gaugau, It looks easy, but ... where's that info?
I'm searching into coppermine/config.php and coppermine/include/config.inc.php and can't found that piece of code to change!
What's the difference between erase all the cookies and change the name of the cookie?
If there's no cookies it must to work ... but there's no lucky for me (I'll try again later!!!).
Thanks for your reply
Normally, you change the cookie name by logging an as admin, and going into config. But as you can't log in, you will have to do it with myadminphp, and change it in the config table.
Done! But the problem is the same.
Let me see, I changed the cookie name and nothing happened, after to enter my user name and password the system said "Welcome MyName" and backs to the Index page without login!
Maybe I'm doing something wrong with the database configuration:
I have my local (personal) server. PhpMyAdmin says that the table I'm using with coppermine is executed in my Localhost, but the Coppermine System is installed into another address, under the httpdocs/site1/ root, is that ok?
... ¿?
Has anyone figured this out at all?
1. Deleted Cookies
2. Renamed Cookies
3. Tried Opera
4. Beat head on desk trying to get to Admin Mode
5. Edited information in database
6. Un-edited information in database
None of this seems to work; what else is there, is there a way I can temporarily trick Coppermine in to letting me in to "Admin Mode"; I was able to trick config.php in to letting me access it, but there is nothing in there that will fix the problem of not being able to upload pictures to Coppermine.
Try going into your database, open your users table, and create a new user in the admin group, then try logging on using that username.
Just tried that; I've done that before, I did it this time just in case as well with no luck what so ever.
There isn't much that can be done at this point in time so if someone wants to try here are two basic accounts:
name: user / pword: user - Usergroup 2 (Administrator)
The Url is this
http://FaustRealms.ods.org/copper/
I tried to log on, and the same thing happened.
Go into your config table in the database, and check the cookie path is just a single slash '/'.
ps, never post an admin name and password on the public boards. I a supporter needs it, they will ask for it by PM. It is a security risk for you otherwise. I have editted your post to remove it.
That was a temp account; I was fairly certain it wouldn't work right for anyone.
Thanks for trying

This is what I get when I try to browse the tables now; could this be what is causing my trouble? Mind you now, I haven't a clue as to where this error may actually be located.
I also get the same error. Further to this, what seems to happen is that every time I log in with my admin username and password, I seem to get redirected back to the login page. I've enabled debug mode have noticed that once I log in, the user information returned is correct for my admin, but then the I get redirected to index.php with anonymous acces.
If you are getting teh same error; then you are using the wrong version of phpmyadmin or something that is not compatable with your SQL database. I installed an earlier verison of phpmyadmin and it solved my trouble instantly. It even fixed Coppermine so now I have it up and running :)
Please post what versions of PHP and mySQL you are running.

Windows NT FAUSTSERVER 5.0 build 2195
Apache/1.3.27 (Win32) mod_ssl/2.8.14 OpenSSL/0.9.7b mod_perl/1.27_01-dev PHP/4.3.2-RC2
MySQL 4.0.1-alpha-nt
phpMyAdmin 2.2.7-pl1
If he can't get in to the database using phpmyadmin and check the cookie path; then It may never work. All I did was go in with phpmyadmin and remove the / for the cookie path, then I put it back in. Once I did that it worked instantly. But until he digs in to the database, he may never get it working; there is a chance it will work, but this is what I did.
I had the same problem with the install, and followed all the advice but unfortunately I couldn't resolve the problem......Then i temporarily shutdown my firewall (Zonealarm) and the program now works perfectly.
The same problem
all the work perfectly on the localhost, but when i migrate to red hat 9
i have the problem whith the cookies
others sites on this server work perfectly with cookies
how can i fix the problem
