Title: yet another upload problem
Post by: crazydad on November 27, 2006, 06:37:04 PM
i am trying to upload a video file, 2.2mbs in size, through the web interface but is not going up.i have upped the settings to allow me to upload larger file in my config settings. ftp works fine but i want other users to be able to use it. after having a look around these forums i see that there is a "time out" for uploading files. my server allows uploads of 5mbs,
(Q. What's the maximum file upload and timeout set for PHP?
A. The maximum size at present is set at 5MB and the timeout is 30 seconds.).
thats from the support database from my server. what i need to know is how to change the timeout settings in both/either coppermine settings and my server settings (it also says on the support database that i am allowed to change settings, but i really haven't got a clue how to :-\

could you please give me any advice, in the plainest of english, please? i really haven't got a clue when people talk about "scripts" and stuff like that.

thanks in advance

john

Haven't asked for it. Don't post debug_output unless requested. The thread I refered to was suppossed to tell you what server-sided settings have an impact on uploading in coppermine, because that's what you have asked for as far as I can see.

If uploading smaller files works and you have issues with larger files, experiment with those server-sided settings if your webhost allows you to do so.
