Ok - I know this is well documented but I have a problem. Uploads do work fine if you set coppermine to single uploads only so there's surely no point doing this. If I set the upload boxes to 2 or more on the groups screen I then run into upload problems. I am using GD2 and as far as I am concerned I have edited PHP.ini and increased the necessary settings to allow for more time and bigger uploads. I run my own server with Win 2003, IIS6, PHP 5 & MYSQL 5.
The actual upload works fine and I can see the images in the albums folder. It's placing the images where I get the error. Also when I set the upload boxes to 2 or more I can't seem to get any expanded error info other than "The previous file could not be placed".
My site is www.manxvisions.com and I have set up a user "test" password "1234"
Thanks
Turn admin approval off temporarily.
Done.
OK, this worked as expected (http://manxvisions.myphotos.cc/displayimage.php?pos=-299). Now please set the number of upload fields to "2".
Actual gallery URL is http://manxvisions.myphotos.cc/, not http://www.manxvisions.com/ - what URL do you have set up in Coppermine's config?
Ok - uploads now changes to 2.
I do have the gallery URL set to http://manxvisions.myphotos.cc/. I have framed forwarding from www.manxvisions.com and use dyndns to resolve my dynamic IP address at home. The server is in my bedroom ;)
Ah, the joys of self-hosting. What operating system (Windows, Linux, other) and webserver (IIS, Apache, other) do you have?
Hi - I did mention this in my first post - I have Win 2003 Std, IIS6, PHP5 & MySQL 5.
OK, sorry. Please review your permissions on the albums folder as suggested in the docs - it looks to me as if there's a permission issue.
permissions set to read, write on albums and all sub folders. I've also just added read + execute too but it made no difference :(
For what user?
For the internet guest account.
I_USR?
Yes - correct
OK, do you explicitely have set "denied" to a particular group or user then?
Sorted!!! ;D
Although I have read, right perms for the internet guest account, there is a further setting in the advanced section which specifically allows "create files". I checked the box and it's sorted.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. This may well be useful for others with their own II6 configs.
Cheers
Hi,
Sorry to bother you, but I have the same problem as you did, you said that you fixed it " further setting in the advanced section which specifically allows "create files"
Can you please direct me where are those settings?
Thanks in advance
Antonio.
Start a thread of your own, doing exactly as suggested in the uploads troubleshooting section of the docs.
