Title: Poor thumbnail quality
Post by: delmarva on December 02, 2006, 02:15:48 AM
I have set up an album and I can't seem to get the thumbnail quality correct. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

I guess you have increased the thumbnail-dimensions in your coppermine settings AFTER you have uploaded the pics and/or generated the thumbnails.

Go to
-> Admin tools
-> Update thumbs and/or resized photos
-> Thumbnails only
-> Select "all albums" (bottom of the page)
and start the process.

lamama beat me to the post but he is correct.

Your thumbnail image is SMALLER than what you have told Coppermine to display as the thumbnail size.  Updating the thumbs will correct the problem.

While your in the config verify that you are using GD2 not GD1 just for good measure.

read the docs... the thumbs have the exact size you set.

However there's an additional feature to have a different size for album thumbs. That's a html resize only. To be found in the config

http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#admin_album_list

reduce 'Size of thumbnails in pixels' to what you've set in 'File and thumbnail settings'
