I'm not a happy bunny, and I suspect there isn't much good news anyone can give me on this but....
After uploading all the files to my hosting server I tried CHMODing the permissions of Album and Include. The system replied that because I was on a Windows server that I could not do this. Only Linux/Unix based servers from my host would allow use of CHMOD.
I looked for another way of doing this but couldn't see how.
I logged a query with my hosts (www.streamline.net) who are the UK's largest hosting company, only to receive a less than helpful e-mail telling me I needed to be on a Linux server and 'we hope you are enjoying your weekend'.
Well, as it happens, I'm not now!!!!
The problem is I have put 3 weeks work into a forum on this site, have the front page sections ready to hook up to back end pages that are ready, and the prospect of migrating is simply not something I can do.
I have e-mailed them back to say I want them to change the permissions for me, but I suspect the reply will be as helpful as a chocolate fireguard.
Can anyone offer me any consolation other than the fact I haven't been ran over by a truck, yet, today?
chmod only applies to *nix systems. That command isn't avail on win machines
