Title: I must be braindead... how do I upload?
Post by: dozzer on December 12, 2006, 10:24:20 AM
I've just instaleld Coppermine (latest ver) and bridged it to SMF 1.1RC3 - all seesm to be working.
I can enter admin mode on coppermine etc.

One simple question...  where is the upload button so I can upload somthing as a user?

I 've read the FAQ...

Question: How do I upload a file?
Answer: Go to "Upload"and select the album that you want to upload to. Click "Browse," find the file to upload, and click "open." Add a title and description if you want. Click "Submit".

But where is the "upload" button ???

Don't try to figure out what regular users can do by clicking on "user mode". User mode is meant for something else. You need to allow your users to upload on the groups page first. Please read the docs for details.
You (as admin) should use FTP-uploads plus batch-add.

I'm not sure if this is the answer (I'm new to Coppermine as well), but I saw that, on some themes, some of the navigation is hidden. You have to mouse over a link in the main navigation in order to see some links, upload is among them.

Obviously, I switched to a different theme.
