Title: CPG/PHPBB Redirection problems
Post by: DeeDee on December 12, 2006, 08:32:12 PM
I guess this is a topic you all are tired of hearing about, but I've looked through a lot of old posts about this topic and none of them fixed the problem.   :-\

When I enable the CPG/PHPBB bridge and then try to log in to CPG, I am redirected to the forum (where I am already logged in).

I use Coppermine 1.4.10 and phpBB 2.0.21.

Coppermine:  http://www.paulbettany.net/gallery
BBS:  http://www.paulbettany.net/phpBB2

Test user on CPG:  login "Test", password "tester"

Here are my bridge settings.
Forum URL:      http://www.paulbettany.net/phpBB2
Relative path to your BBS's config file:    ../phpBB2/
Use post-based groups?:    0
Cookie prefix:    paulbettan_forum

I've already double-checked the cookie prefix, and the gallery IS set to allow guest access.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!   :)

Cookie path must be '/'.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "cookie path"... Do you mean adding a slash after paulbettan_forum?  I've just tried that, and it's still redirecting.

Or did you mean something else?   :-[

It's a setting in phpbb. If you don't know how to change it then refer to the phpbb manual.

Oh, it was a phpbb thing.  I thought you were telling me to change the Coppermine cookie path.

When I change the phpbb cookie path to /, login no longer works, and I have to redo the auto-cookie mod.  So I can't use that for the cookie path.

Is that the only way the bridge will work?

Yes. Make sure to clear your cookies after you change cookie settings.
