Title: Most Viewed?
Post by: crl on December 20, 2006, 08:24:28 PM
What is the 'Most Viewed' option about?

I was under the impression that it was the number of times a particular photograph was viewed by the guests. I checked my gallery on another admins computer and it was a completely selection and number of views.

So could someone explain more please?

Depending on the amount of traffic at your site, that view can change in mere seconds.  It's just as it says, the most viewed (unique hits) items in your gallery.

If you click the option from within an album it will show the most viewed in that album. Maybe you did that.

I have disabled the most viewed option in the admin panel.
However this option still seems to work directly from the 'most viewed' button on the gallery page index page.

It's a mystery why it's completely different on another admin's computer? ???

Best way to solve this mystery is to post a link to your gallery and tell us what you see.

Works as expected, see screenshot. Not sure what your issue is. Do as Nibbler suggested and post a screenshot if it differs from the one I attached to my posting.

Just checked the 2 admin computers together with your screen shot and they are now all the same!
It must have been some kind of cache issue.
Thank you for your invaluable advice yet again!
