Hi Michel Summermatter,

There is a reason it does this. The image(s) you have tried to add to your gallery are far too large to be generated into thumb and intermediate sizes. I have worked around this though (i have many HiRes images that needed to be uploaded).

First download a program that resizes a batch of images to another folder on your computer by the same filename.

Resize the large images to about 600 pixels in height.

Upload them to the gallery, and insert them into the gallery.

Next, take the original HiRes images and overwrite the 600 pixel resized images on your server. It displays a hires image instead of the little one.

I hope this helps:)

Tb,

While we appreciate your helping him, he must learn how to search the support boards. We have answered this question too many times, and he would have found your solution along with two others if he had used the search tool.  :)

I was just trying to be of any help-i have searched the boards for several topics and have not found answers. when i pm a top person here, they do not EVER respond, only casper has. If i know the answer to something, i will post it-telling them to search the board, is not helping them-because anything within a thread will have so much not even relating to the subject.

I never wrote that you couldn't respond to his post. Indeed, you are free to spend as much time as you like answering questions that have already been aswered.  However, your solution is not optimal, and a search for 8388608 would return every instance of this issue with three or four solutions.

People here do not return support PMs because that would defeat the point of having a searchable support board. Casper is very generous in this regard.

As for making this a sticky, we will consider it.
Title: Search
Post by: Michel Summermatter on February 24, 2004, 03:17:10 PM
After many attempt through the search area without any success I posted my question...I'm running the same forum on my site and as you probably know
it is not the best search system.. but a good forum just the same.
Dont be touchy..
As it was suggested ...make it sticky
Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.
