Title: Question about install
Post by: mudbogging on January 19, 2007, 12:57:20 AM
I have installed coppermine on 2 sites now with no problem untill today.

I went to install it on a free site i'm doing for the local fire dept. Well did the upload, and begain the install.

Well then this happened.
(https://coppermine-gallery.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fmudbogging.info%2Fcoppermine%2Fdisplayimage.php%3Falbum%3Dlastup%26amp%3Bcat%3D0%26amp%3Bpos%3D0&hash=fbabdfcdd902b34336c4289403c719b7c4fe8964)
http://mudbogging.info/coppermine/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pos=0 (http://mudbogging.info/coppermine/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pos=0)

It is pulling information from another site on the same server. why would it pull information from another site on the same server? It should be looking where I tell it? right? I talked to the Server Host and they side it was on my site but i have nothing to do with the other server and my coppermine on the same server under 2 other sites works fine.

The site name is Maysvillefire.com with the problem
These 2 sites it works fine.

I'm at a loss and have no clue. E-mail me if you can help.

Do you actually use one and the same mySQL account for each of those three different sites? If not, edit include/config.inc.php and enter the proper mySQl data there. If you're actually using the same mySQL database and account, make sure that the table prefixes differ from one install to the other.

Use localhost instead of grouponesales.com

???LocalHost is not the name of the MySQL Host is grouponesales.com.

When you put or leave it as localhost it kicks it back and says not found.

Then you need to allow connections from the domain tandmvinylgraphix.com to your database. Your host probably has some control panel that will let you do that.

Another thing is that site has OSC but no coppermine.

I'm lost at this point.

That site is on the same server as you. You are best off asking your host these questions, I don't know how your server is configured.

ok i'll ask the host.

I just want to rule out a coppermine problem.

They will tell me it's a third party problem and i'll send them here to read this thread.

Ok here is a update!

After the VPS provider said it was all a coppermine problem. I got thur there level 3 service tech and he said it was not his problem! But he was wrong. They have the MySQL on all my sites as the same one and shared. There for the MySQL databases were all on a one site. So AFTER $175.00 (which I got back today) They installed the SQL correctly like they should have done from the start! Only took 3 weeks!

Thanks for your help and am looking forward to put this on 6 more sites. I'm going to push it all over my site!!!!

Thanks to all!
