Title: Space Used Problem
Post by: mookoo on January 19, 2007, 08:29:17 PM
The Space Used appears to refer to the size of uploaded images and not to the actual space used. I don't save intermediate images and have set coppermine to compress and shrink every image to 600 px wide to fit onto the pages. Therefore if someone uploads a 2Mb image, it actually ends up only taking up about 120kb of space. The Space Used however still shows 2Mb. Is there a way to accurately show space used rather than space used based on original file size?

Thanks in advance.

Can you post a link? I expect the originals are still there.

The same to me.
I tested many times and I found that it happens only if in GROUPS is set:

File upload boxes: 1
URI upload boxes: 0

If you can load more than 1 image the program make a different routine that hasn't this problem.

I don't use intermediate picture
The image resized is 45 kbites
The thumbnaikl size is 3 Kbites

But in profile the the space used is 143 Kbites.

Thanks
