Hello!
This is my first post here as you see!
I live in the Eifel in Western Germany.
I have my own coppermine gallery (see homepage in my profile).
It would be nice to have this marking of albums and images as new like the 4images gallery.
And if possible one could set how long new albums and pictures are marked as new.
Is there already such a plugin or mod or could one write something like this?
René
Has been asked before. Afaik there is no such mod available.
Ok.
Could then give s.b. me some hints how one could implement such a function?
I have no idea which php file have to be modified for such a project.
Then I could perhaps try and error and when I have an idea, someone here could complete the work and make an plugin or mod of it?
René
This is not an easy mod: you'd need good PHP coding skills, mysql skills and a good understanding how coppermine works. Many files would need changing. That's the main reason why it hasn't been coded yet I guess. You can't expect any pointers, as coming up with suggestions would actually mean half-way coding it.
Then I think this would be a bit to complicated for me since I am not very familiar with php, mysql and the Gallery's Backend structure.
I have two other questions:
- How can I edit my posts and
- what meaning has the Karma in the profile and why is mine -1?

I have two other questions:
Sadly, we have a "one question per thread" policy that you agreed to respect when signing up.

Not at all, because you're not suppossed to. Editing previous postings has been disabled because users abused the feature. They edited out their initial questions, rendering the whole thread useless. The whole point of a support board is that questions and answers remain intact for the benefit of others who search the board for similar issues. I hope that you were not trying to edit out your posting.

Because you didn't respect board rules (see above). There are threads that explain what karma is being used for - those threads can easily be found using the board's search. Supporters are reluctant to answer the same question over and over again. That's another thing that can get you negative karma.
Closing thread and locking.
