Title: vb on one server and CPG on another
Post by: SteveSteve on February 15, 2007, 08:31:20 AM
I am new to CPG and would like to know if I can have vb on one server and CPG on another and have it bridged to use the same login.

Thanks.

Yes, but they have to be on the same domain name.

What about a subdomain? Ie. vb is on: www.site.com and CPG is on photo.cpg.com

Those are entirely different domain names. Actual subdomains will work.

Sorry, I meant vb is on www.site.com and CPG is on photo.site.com.

Thanks and I am looking forward to trying out CPG! We have about 10,000 images and endless amounts of categories. Now I have to search for an importer (fingers crossed there is one available).

I have searched and cannot find where to enter the vbulletin server and database info so cpg can connect to it. Can you point me to the right direction?

Thanks.

Copy vb's includes/config.php over to the cpg server and point the bridge manager to it.
