Title: Bridging, but lacking Gallery Link
Post by: ZakRhino on March 07, 2007, 04:10:08 AM
I have the following issue when trying to bridge Coppermine and SMF: After I bridge SMF and Coppermine, the program don't show the bridge on the main site.  But I didn't get and error message and it looks like it worked. But no link to "Gallery" area from the main page. I can sign in and Coppermine sees the other user but not link. Thanks for the help

adding a custom link to coppermine is easy

go to config -> theme settings -> custom menu link

stick the link to smf in here.

(this has been answered many times and is in the docs so please search first)

the bridge does not automatically create urls to hop in between coppermine or smf.

adding a custom link to SMF to link to coppermine is a matter for SMF support forums...although before you post there I recommend reading the smf docs as I am sure it will be in there.

The bridge does not alter your forum in any way. As nickfzx so rightly says, adding links from your forum to your gallery is your job as webmaster.

Other then the link, does CPG look like SMF?

No, bridging links the user accounts only.
