Title: PhpBB + CPG integration (Both installed and working)
Post by: Jackstrw on March 02, 2004, 08:26:15 PM
The manual says both make sure both CPG and phpBB2 are installed and OK. Thats where I am. The manual also says edit bridge and init.inc.php BEFORE uploading to server, then run install scrpt. Do I need to upload install.php again and delete the Lock.

Has anyone integrated from this point (Both working) and had anything break.

Both are working great and I don't want them to break :(  :(

As far as I know, if it installed and working, all you have to do is upload the changed files.  Then just login as admin on the board, and go to 'groups', and do what it says in the readme file.

Dont forget to put links to the gallery on the board, and vice verca.

I tried both....

Since I have php on my PC I did test installations with the files modified before and after the install...

So far both seem fine.... Infact, the gallery here http://mods.modpros.com/gallery was installed the same way you installed yours...  I modified the bridge file AFTER installation because i was in a rush and forgot to...

Thanks.
:D  The Bridge is working. I need to figure out now how to get from BB login (as Admin) to Gallery ( To sync Groups). Typing URL in address bar doesn't seem to do it. I.m off to check the Boards.......   :D

The docs say you must add your own link back to coppermine, and vice verca.

OK!!!

By using the 2nd Generation Redir Script ( for v2.0.6) and removing the "www" from the path to phpBB in the phpbb.inc.php I am now able to click CPG login > phpBB login form > enter admin login > to CPG again.

Only problem is I am not logged in. this process repeats itself.

Any ideas.

Have a look at this thread, it's rather long, but will probably help you;

:!:  :!: IT WORKS :!:  :!:

I went over the steps in readme with a fine tooth comb. turns out the redirect was working.

Only problem was in phpBB2, I had set the cookie domain with 'WWW"
and the script wasn't seeing the cookie.
