Title: custom search urls
Post by: nickfzx on March 09, 2007, 01:27:38 AM
ok after a lot of searching I cannot work out if this is possible or not.

Is it possible to create a url that will search for a specific thing...like with google images

I could create an url here that will search google images for sharks:

http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=sharks&btnG=Search+Images&gbv=2

is this possible to do in coppermine?

I am getting problems with using this search method...most of the time it works fine and returns a lot of images but sometimes the same search url just returns:

QuoteNo image to display

I found the solution to the problem...when I deleted the cookies for my coppermine install it started working fine again.  The cookies in my browser got in a muddle somehow but now it works fine...but is this a problem that could affect other users?

How come cookies affect the outcome of a search result?

The search is stored in the cookie. See http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=34262.0 for the fix.
