I've selected a new them yet when I go to the admin (album manager), the theme is correct, but when I select a new category via the pull-down, the theme reverts to the CMP theme. Is this a bug?
Set the admin cookie to the new theme first by going to your gallery's config section using the theme name as parameter, like this: http://yoursite.tld/your_coppermine_folder/admin.php?theme=the_name_of_the_new_theme
