Title: Users permissions for titles modification
Post by: antisa33 on March 13, 2007, 07:14:06 PM
Hello
I need to give an access for a user to allow him to modify/add titles and descriptions, but i don't want to give an administrator access.
How can i do ?
Best regards
Thanks

LOL well, that's a clear answer.

Sadly, my client also wants a few other people to be able to add titles and descriptions without having Admin access (huge historical gallery). He thought that perhaps people who were logged in as Registered might be able to, but no. I thought that perhaps a slight modification to 'displayimage' that enabled registered members to 'edit this file' (editOnePic) might do it but, being a PHP ignoramus', even if it is possible, it'll probably take me months to work out how.

Users are capable to edit the description of files they own (i.e. files that they uploaded). If you need a different behaviour, you'll have to code it in.
